Systematic and ecological study of mosquitoes (Diptera: Culicidae) in the region of Timgad, Algeria

We conducted an inventory in the wilaya of Batna more particularly region Timgad during period from January 2018 to December same year. Sampling is done monthly using “Dipping” method collect mosquito larvae which were then transported laboratory for identification. Five species collected surveyed site presented by 1035 individuals, these Culex pipiens, theileri, hortensis, deserticola and Culiseta longiareolata appears be most abundant with three significant pullulation peaks.
